How to Set Up a New Perfume Oil Display in Your Store

So you've just ordered your new Shadow Scents perfume oil display! Getting set up is quick and easy. In just a few steps, you will have a beautiful, eye-catching display that is ready to attract customers and start generating sales. Here is everything you need to know!

Step 1: Unpack Your Order

When your order arrives, go ahead and unpack the box. Your wooden display will likely be near the top, so it should be one of the first things you find. Take a moment to admire it! The display is made of durable, thick blonde plywood and has a clean, elegant look that fits right in with any retail space.

Here are the quick specs so you know what you are working with:

  • Counter footprint: 13 inches wide by 6.75 inches deep
  • Height: 7 inches tall
  • Holds up to 12 fragrances, with 6 bottles per slot plus a tester spot at the front
  • Maximum capacity: 84 bottles total

It is compact enough to fit on most counters and shelves without taking up too much space, but substantial enough to make a real impression.

Step 2: Find the Perfect Spot

Set the display on your counter or store shelves where it will get plenty of attention from customers. Near the register is always a great choice, as is any high-traffic area where shoppers tend to linger. The display is designed to be a conversation starter, so put it somewhere it can do its job!

Step 3: Fill the Display

Now for the fun part! Unbox your Shadow Scents perfume oils and begin filling in the slots. Each slot is designed to keep your bottles neatly organized by fragrance and to prevent tipping, so your display always looks tidy and attractive.

Each slot holds six full bottles of one fragrance. Place your tester bottle right at the front of each slot so customers can easily pick it up and try the scent. Keep going until all twelve fragrances are fully stocked. Once every slot is filled, your display is ready to go!

Step 4: Set Your Price

Before you open up for the day, make sure to place a sign or price tag on your display so customers know what they are looking at. Shadow Scents perfume oils are very flexible when it comes to pricing. Depending on your store's overhead and needs, you can retail them anywhere from $8.95 to $14.95 per bottle.

You may want to experiment a little over time. Every store and location has its own sweet spot, where the perfumes move quickly and generate the most profit. It takes a bit of trial and observation to find your best price point, but it is well worth the effort!

Moving the Display

Decided to try the display in a different spot? No need to take everything out first! Just make sure all the bottles are slid to the back of their slots with no gaps. Then tilt the display slightly backwards, and carry the whole thing to its new home in one easy move. Simple as that!

One Last Tip: Get Your Staff Involved

Let your salespeople try out the tester bottles too! When your staff has personal favorites and can speak enthusiastically about the scents, customers take notice. A warm personal recommendation goes a long way when it comes to selling fragrance.

Restocking Your Wholesale Perfume Oils
